Adding Search Terms
To add search terms to your custom report, navigate to the custom report record, then click "Add search term":
You will now see the fields associated with the parent record (clients, in this example), plus the fields in the associated personalized tables. Administrators have access to all personalized tables; standard users have access to personalized tables based on their permission groups (more info on permission groups here).
After selecting the search field, you will be able to set the search value. The available search value is based on the field type.
Check Boxes
When selecting a check-box field, you can search for the field equal to "Yes" (i.e. checked) or "No" (i.e. unchecked):
Drop-Down Lists
For drop down lists, you can search for records that either match ("Is Equal To") or don't match ("Is Not Equal To") a selection from the drop-down list:
Text Fields
For text fields, you select the search criteria ("Is Equal To", "Is Not Equal To", etc), and then you enter the comparison text.
Note that text field searches are not case sensitive.
Dates
To search by a date field, select the date comparison ("Is On", "Is Not On", etc), then select the date for comparison.
To search for a date range, first add the search term for the starting date (above), then add the search term for the ending date:
Then group the starting and ending dates using parentheses (more info on using parentheses here):
Numbers
To search on a number (integer) field, select the comparison value ("Is Equal To", "Is Not Equal To", etc) then enter the comparison number:
Currency
Using a currency field for searching is similar to using a number. Select the comparison type, then enter the currency value.
