The Sponsorship Honoree

Generally the sponsor (who is financially responsible for the sponsorship) will be the contact person for the sponsorship. However, there are times when the sponsor will want a third party to be the contact.

For example, let's say that Mr. Rufus T. Firefly wishes to sponsor a child and will be financially responsible for the sponsorship payments, but he wishes his great grand-nephew Phileas Fogg Firefly to receive the updates, photos, and communications from the sponsored child.

Another example may be a Sunday School class wishes to sponsor a child (as a business/organization sponsor), and the contact person would be the Sunday School teacher.

Delightful Labor provides a way to handle this situation. You can establish a sponsorship honoree - a person to be associated with a sponsorship.

As an example, we will designate Phileas Fogg Firefly as the honoree for Mr. Rufus T. Firefly's sponsorship. We navigate to Rufus T. Firefly's sponsorship record (either via his people record, through the sponsorship directory, or via a sponsor search). On the sponsorship record, we click on the link to add a sponsorship honoree:

We are now at the search screen. We enter the first few letters of Phileas Fogg Firefly's last name:

On our search results screen, we select Phileas:

We are then returned to the sponsorship record, where we see the new honoree information:
