Log Search

Delightful Labor offers a full-text search of the blogs you've created in personalized tables, as well as other long text fields.

To use this feature, select "Reports / Predefined / Miscellaneous / Log Search":

log Search

You will now see the search form. Here you enter your search terms, the type of search, and where to look.

With your search terms, you can search for

  • The exact phrase - the log entry must contain the exact phrase of your search term
  • All words - each word in your search term must be contained in a log entry
  • Any word - results are returned for log entries that contain any of the words in your search term

A couple of notes:

  • Searches are not case-sensitive (for example, "firefly" will match "fIReFly" or "FIREFLY".
  • For the "All words" and "Any word" options, the search discards short and common words (these are called "stop words"). You can see the full list of stop words here. Stop words do not apply to the exact phrase search.
  • When searching personalized log entries, the matching words or phrase can appear in either the log title, body, or both.

The search results have the following format:

  • Block title - the category where the matches were found (for example, "Personalized Tables / Client"
  • Context - details about where the match occurred
  • Links - the record IDs and links to navigate to the parent record of the search results
  • Matching Text - the full log entry containing the match (with matching phrases or words highlighted in purple). For personalized tables, both the log title and log entry are displayed.
