Business Contacts

Delightful Labor provides a way for you to link businesses and organizations to the people in your database. You can identify the relationship and show if a soft-cash relationship exists between the person and the business. For example, the owner of a small business may wish to make donations through her business, and when you view the owner's people record, you would like to see her business donations.

 

Adding a Business Contact

Business contacts are added through the business record. On the business record, you will see a section called "Associated Contacts". Initially a business has no contacts.

In this example, we will add Mr. Rufus T. Firefly as a contact for Acme Anvils. We click on "Add new business contact":

We now search the people table:

We see Mr. Firefly in our list of search results. We choose him by clicking the select icon (select):

We select the relationship and indicate that Mr. Firefly has a soft-cash relationship to our organization. You can learn how to manage your list of business/people relationships here.

We are returned to the business record, and see that Mr. Firefly has been added as a contact. We see the soft-cash relationship with the dollar icon (dollar). From this entry, we can view Mr. Firefly's people record (viewIcon),edit the relationship (edit), or delete the relationship (delete02).

Viewing Contacts

We add a few more contacts to Acme Anvils, and now click "View contacts" to see the details of our business contacts:

From the resulting contact report, we can edit the relationship (edit), remove the relationship (delete02), or view the people record (viewIcon).

Let's take a look at Mr. Firefly's people record:

Under the business contacts section of Mr. Firefly's people record, we see his soft-cash relationship with Acme Anvils.
